Due to the functional nature of the objects that the workshops treat we are often required to carry out restoration work. We have undertaken thorough research into all of the techniques that we administer to ensure that they involve the minimum amount of interference with the original composition of the carpet, aiming to keep as much of the original carpet as possible.
The various processes include re-weaving where carpets have been seriously damaged. This involves precise fibre, texture and colour matching to create an invisible repair. The restorers are highly skilled in matching not only the construction but also the complex finishing processes required.

This will be in the form of a full written report on both the condition of the rug and the work that needs to be undertaken. Initial estimates can be given from good quality photographs and there is generally no charge for this service, although there may be an exception for very large jobs, or if we estimate on location and lengthy travel is involved.
